"Sometimes I arrive just when God's ready to have someone click the shutter."
-Ansel Adams
My father taught me the world is beautiful and so are the people in it. When I was a kid he was always taking pictures at the family parties and before long he bought me a Polaroid sun camera for Christmas, which I still have. The camera is a reminder of the photos we took together and all the memories we shared.
To me photography is unique as an art form; it's a social mechanism, which helps you see the tiniest parts of the world which we overlook. It transforms you into a geographer of society and a scholar of human nature.
As a professor of media studies I’ve taught different aspects of communications with an emphasis in different cultures for nearly ten years. Photography has helped me see a new depth of society and richness of the world. I'm blessed to have seen so many remarkable peoples and places and taught me how special our world and it's people are.
I’ve been shooting for over four years and thanks to the guidance from my professors and independent studies, photography has become as much a part of me as teaching and writing.
While I’m still developing my technique it’s a labor of love and it’s something I’m proud to share with you.
